First of all, baby horses are the cutest freaking things ever.

I’m not talking mini horse here.

I’m talking foals.

They are like mini versions of mini horses which means they are ultra-cute.

Technically a foal isn’t just a baby horse.

The term is also used for a baby donkey, mule, zebra, or pony under a year old, according to All Things Nature.

It takes about 11 months for a foal to be born.

A foal will typically stop weaning until they are about 6-months-old.

Once they turn a year old, they are called yearlings which is a horse that is older than 1 but younger than 2.

Once they are 2, a male foal is referred to as a colt, while a female foal is called a filly.

Male and female foals go by those terms until they are about 4-years-old.

Then they are just plain old horses, according to Horse Racing Sense.

Foals are pretty lively when they are born and are able to stand within the first hour of being birthed.

They aren’t born with teeth but will grow teeth pretty quickly.

A foal will start nursing within the second hour of its birth and take its first poop in the third hour.

A baby horse’s coat is usually dull in color when it’s born but that coat will usually change colors as they age.

That color will transform when they start shedding their foal coat at about three months.

But Stacy Rolfe already knows all this stuff.

She’s the owner of R&R Ranch in Wildwood, Missouri where they assist in the birth and care of foals like Teddy Bear.

“When these ranch owners babied their newest foal, they didn’t quite expect him to become so accustomed to the cuddles.

Teddy was born premature and needed a lot of care from the ranch handlers, leading him to grow accustomed to human interaction,” Caters Clips explains.

If you see Teddy Bear in action, he kind of reminds you of a little puppy.

The video shows him jumping all over Stacy and wanting affection.

Except he’s not a puppy, but a teeny horse.

But just like a puppy, Teddy Bear loves to be pet and cuddled and is tiny enough that Stacy can do so.

In the video, Stacy is shown holding Teddy like a baby. And this little horse has no qualms about it.

Teddy Bear wants to be babied.

Probably because it is a baby, but it’s adorable nonetheless.

But Teddy eventually grew out of his foal stage and learned the ropes of how to be a horse from his elders.

“Thankfully, Teddy’s mum and the other horses on the ranch have shown Teddy how to behave like a horse and taught him more usual behavior.”

Teddy Bear’s puppy-foal days might be over but they’ll last forever thanks to the internet.

The moment is so sweet it’s likely to break everyone’s internal “cute-o-meter.”
